These ‘sister’ cities lie along the Okanogan River which flows from Canada to the Columbia River. They are the largest towns in Okanogan County, with Okanogan serving as the county seat. Together they form the regional center for services and trades in the Okanogan Valley, which reaches to the foothills of the Okanogan Highlands to the north, and borders the Colville Confederated Tribal lands to the east. To the west, head over the scenic Loup Loup Pass on your way to the Methow Valley. Near the pass is the regions only downhill ski area, now also offering Nordic trails and bobsledding runs.
